OpenInsight for Linux (OIL) Discontinued
Effective December 1, 2008 Revelation Software will discontinue OpenInsight for Linux (OIL) and no longer accept orders for this product. Our decision is based upon a lack of demand for this product and that both RedHat and Suse have abandoned development for the Linux desktop. Installing OpenInsight for Windows on Linux based servers is still supported. OpenInsight for Windows can be installed on Linux servers with Windows desktops connecting using a SAMBA share and using the Universal Driver 3.0 or 4.5.

Run_Report provides the ability to prompt for a user response. For example the following list statement issued from TCL will prompt the user to enter a State Code.

With the release of OpenInsight Development Suite 9.0 comes a much simpler pricing scheme. All OI 9.x Network User Licenses are Developer Class, priced per user and include a copy of the Universal Driver 4.5. Pricing for OpenInsight 9.x licenses and above are as follows:

For a complete price list click here.  Pricing for OpenInsight 8.0.x licenses and below remains unchanged.  Licenses may be transferred from OpenInsight 8.0.x to 9.0.0 at no charge but are subject to the annual license renewal fee the following year.  License counts may also be reduced during this transfer.  For example, if you have a 250 user 8.0.x runtime license, you can transfer it to a 50 user OI 9.0.0 Network User License.  This license will then be subject to a 50 User annual license renewal fee.
